Cr8Studios is the creative studio of Australian photographer and artist Raymond Mather.
Established in 2006, Cr8Studios is the creative studio of Australian artist Raymond Mather. Building on Raymond Mather Photography, founded in 1999, Cr8Studios became the foundation from which ART1 Fine Art Photography, Connections Photography, and Art ConneXions Network (ACXN) evolved. Together, these platforms represent the commercial, archival, editorial, and research expression of a creative practice spanning more than twenty-five years.
Today, Cr8Studios serves as the working creative studio behind Raymond Mather’s independent practice, documenting the development of artworks from concept to completion, including experimentation, image-making, editing, printing, exhibition preparation, publishing, and digital communication.
The studio provides insight into the thinking, technical processes, and creative decisions that shape each body of work, preserving the ideas, methods, experiments, and discoveries that occur throughout the creative process.
Working across photography, contemporary art, digital publishing, and visual storytelling, Raymond Mather’s practice spans more than four decades of creative experience.
Cr8Studios remains the creative foundation from which new ideas, projects, and platforms continue to evolve.
Looking back, I realised I hadn’t lived several creative lives at all. I had been living one creative life that kept finding new forms of expression. What once appeared to be separate careers gradually revealed themselves as a single, evolving practice. The through-narrative had been there all along. I just hadn’t seen it until the pieces finally came together.
